96 jeep cherokee wont start! HELP~

1996 jeep cherokee 4.0 straight 6 changed the coil, changed the distributor pickup plate. checked fuses, no spark. battery is good shape, all grounded. timing is good is there a relay or something that i am missing that is for the timing? any ideas? i turn the key and it cranks but no spark... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have spark and fuel ? What is very common on these cars is the crank sensor which is on the top front left side of the tranny bell-housing near the engine /tranny attaching bolts.the wires from the sensor go up to the inlet manifold passing the exhaust pipe here they tend to burn from the heat from the exhaust pipe Just a thought Indy , http://www.flatratetech.com staff tech Indy Shop owner
