I have a 96 Dodge Intrepid with a 3.5L DOHC! A water pump was put on the guy got the timing marks all off! Since it is distributorless, how do I go about putting the marks back into place?

You're going to have to tear it all apart again to time the belt correctly and you should start praying that you don't have a ton of bent valves because this is an interference engine. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

The car was never started or put back together once the marks got off point! I have never timed a distributorless ignition! my problem is I need to know how to put the marks were they are supposed to be! I am pretty good with mechanics and I am about to pull the motor to put it in another car. Any help well be greatly appreciated! Thank you Hammer Time for you response!

Hey HT. Are those pics from alldeta or are they from chiltons? My 93-97 chiltons Domestic car book has the identical pics. -------------------------------------------------------- Your only as good as your tools!
