95 mits. galant fuel pump reset?

I have a 95 mitsubishi galant 2.4Ltr.
the balance shaft belt broke so I replaced both the balance and the timing belts.
engine turns over but will not start. I checked and re-checked my timing, it is correct. It seems to be getting fire. I realized that I don't hear the fuel pump engage. I have done a bunch of research and the best I've come up with so far is the ECU needs to reset the fuel pump or something like that. but I cant figure out how. It is driving ,or not driving, me crazy. I know, poor pun If someone knows something I don't please help.
