You're right. It does sound like one bank is running rich but it's not going to be that simple to find the cause. You are going to need an experienced performance tech to work with a scan tool to try to determine the cause.

One thing you could try since you don't have a scan tool is to unplug the O2 sensor before the catalyst on that side (Bank1 sensor 1). If you have a stuck lean O2 sensor, that can cause the engine controller to trim the right bank to very rich. If it clears up after you unplug the sensor, more than likely the O2 sensor is faulty. Make sure you have heater voltage and ground on the O2 sensor circuit with the ignition on when replacing the sensor.

Hmmmm that's odd the check engine light hasn't come on. You would think you would see a P0174, or a P0175 if there wasn't a condition causing the 174.

Might not be a bad idea to have the codes pulled anyway to see if there is any help there.......Who knows a KOER test might just reveal something.....

I think HTs right, without a scanner to see what the fuel trims & O2s are doing this would be real tough to track down...

You can follow D's suggestion on the O2, also look for any obvious vacuum leaks on that side. After that it would probably be best to take it in to checked out..
