I have a 1995 4cl ford ranger that will not start. It died driving down the road... found the timing belt had broke... replaced it and drove it and again it died driving down the road... the timing belt is still operable... but it will not start. It turns over, all the dash lights come on... I've changed the fuel pump checked the starter, battery... etc... I don't what else to do at this point.... PLEASE HELP

Do you have an EEC IV code reader?

Have you checked for spark using a spark tester? Check both sides of the ignition system for spark.

When it doesn't want to start, try spraying to some starting fluid into the throttle body while someone cranks it. If the engine starts, you have a fuel problem.

From there you would check pump pressure by connecting up a fuel pressure guage and checking for injector activity with a noid light or scope.

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

i believe these motors have timing chains not belts. unless you mean the serpentine fan belt???

the ford motors are known to have trouble with their IAC valves....causes all sorts of starting and running problems.

take yours off and clean it good with some carb cleaner
