I drive a 95 chevy cavalier 4 cycilinder with 103,000 miles on it. My happens when I am driving it on the highway if I have to make a sudden stop it totally stalls out and I have to put in park and start the engine again , got any ideas on this please let me know

Does it seem to idle too low all the time anyway? Will the idle change if just hitting the brake even just sitting still?
