95 blazer not getting fuel	Sign In

95 chevy blazer 4x4 4.3L vortec 140k miles.

was driving and vehicle just seemed to stop getting fuel and sputtered to a stop. Since then i have replaced fuel filter, spider injectors, and put a salvaged fuel pump on it. i have checked fuel pressure test port by pressing it and fuel did come out but dont have a pressure gauge to see how much but its definetly not close to 50psi but it is getting fuel to the spider injector but no fuel spraying out of the injectors.

i crank and crank and crank and it will not start unless i spray starter fluid in the intake and of course that only works till the starter fluid is burned up but lets me know the spark is good.

any advice would be great

Your mistake was buying that junkyard fuel pump.
Check the fuel pressure.
I bet you will be replacing the pump again.

well sure enough i checked the pressure with a gauge and 0psi. now i can still hear the pump kick on when i turn on the ignition so does that mean all the relay switches are good or could it be one of those bad too?

thx really appreciate the help didnt wont to believe the pump might still be bad but i will be dropping the tank 2mrw and try again.

sure enough it was the fuel pump changed it this morning and it fired right up but now the fuel guage bounces from half tank to fuel tank speraticly and when i get on the brakes while driving it wont idle for nothing but as long as im not on the brakes its idles fine.

The fuel gauge problem sounds like something going on with the sending unit.
Have you rechecked the fuel pressure with the new pump to make sure it's with in specs?
I would check real good for vacuum leaks, it could be a problem with the brake booster.
