95 Toyota Fourunner is exhausting white smoke.

My truck is very sluggish and white smoke is coming out the exhaust. It smells like something burning.

Check all fluid levels. That would be a sign of coolant getting burned which is bad enough (probable head gasket) and you don't want to add to the trouble by trashing the motor and converters too,
