95' Civic with no Thermostat Sign In

I just discovered that my civic did not have a thermostat installed. the previous owner must have removed it. Could this be the reason that i was overheating at high rpms/speed?

Yes, that could cause some temp control problems but be sure that your looking in the right place for the thermostat. It's not in the upper hose like most cars. It's in the back of the engine at the end of the lower hose.
