You may want to check the spark w a spark tester (not expensive) that shows how far it can jump.

Next and possible is valve timing via timing chain is off time (jumped) and if so you'll find it both may crank too easily and very low compression as the clue, especially if this was a surprise to an otherwise well running engine,

It can't be getting both or it would be running.

1) Test for spark at the plug end of the wire using a spark tester. If none found, check for power supply on the + terminal of the coil with the key on.

2) Test for injector pulse using a small bulb called a noid light. If none found, check for power supply at one side of the injector with the key on.

3) Use a fuel pressure gauge to test for correct fuel pressure, also noticing if the pressure holds when key is shut off.

Flooded out plugs will fire without compression but self ground with compression on some. Rare but has happened several time to me so it can show everything right and not run if so. Said rare and we don't know if it's flooded that bad,
