94 ram stalls out

I have a 1994 dodge ram 1500, 5.2 318 with rebuilt motor with 166,000 miles. My problem is after driving around for a while it gets harder to start and does not want to stay running. It seems the more I drive it in a day the worse it gets. I can let it cool down and it starts and drives fine for a little bit. I replaced the distributer cap and button and it did not help, plugs and wires are good. Any ideas.

only a suggestion but i have had a bad coil act like that, it was on a 95 dodge ram 5.9
