Starting having problems with my conversion van, its a 94 chevrolet g20, 350 throttlebody, auto transmission..The van sat for about 3 months and was running fine when parked. Had to jump the van off to get started and noticed that it had a hesitation when excellerating, so I took it for a short drive....rounded a corner coming back to the house and it died...cranked and cranked till the battery went weak. jumped it again and it ran rich and barely made it into the drive way...pulled the breather off got running again and saw that an injector was dripping at idle. changed injector but got no love, still running rich and dripping from the injector. Have another throttle body gonna change that, any other things I need to check if this doesn't work. Maybe cold start switch? pressure regulator? it will idle but when you step on the gas it will stumble and die..

Start with checking fuel pressure, spark at all cylinders. You could have a sensor problem as well. The OBD1 system didn't set codes for sensors that were out of range all too reliably. Unfortunately, there are about 7 or 8 things that can cause this symptom. Without the diagnostic tools, you are just guessing. Steve

When it stumbles its pouring fuel, if you feather the throttle you can keep it running...I was hoping for the simplest fix...LOL

Again, we need to know the fuel pressure to see if the regulator is bad or if the pump is putting out. We also need to know if all cylinders are hitting on spark. Anything else is just a guess. There is no way around this, unless you can afford to just throw parts at it. Steve
