i have a 93 gmc safari 4.3 w motor . i put a fuel inlet line under intake. it now won't start. it has good spark and fuel. checked all connections and wires with meter.can't read codes it says battery disconnected to long. is there a sensor or something that will not let it start? the only code i had before i started working on it was low voltage to fuel pump. it ran fine with this code before. it turns over fast but won't start. tried starting fluid and nothing. I would appreciate any help, that might get me going in the right direction. thanks very much. dac1950

This engine is very fussy about fuel pressure. You need to know what it is. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Whatever battery voltage is at the time. Should be about 14v with engine running and no load on the line.

You need to find out the fuel pressure as HT suggested, it's very critical on this system.... Also make sure you injector connecter if hooked up and tight. If it was hooked up then you might want to disconnect it and put a noid light in the harness end and make sure you have injector pulse

It's a low impedance test light for checking sensitive circuits. They plug right into the injector plugs on most vehicles but on the Vortec system, you will have to improvise to tap into the right wires.
