Hey guys just looking for some info on 93 mits. 2.0 sohc and no Jim," I'm not gonna set it on fire" The situation that stands now is trying to get the thing to idle, timing set perfect, no bent valves, I got it running for 3 minutes, but still acts if timing is off but its not, more of air and fuel mixture thing, I unplug the connector to the ISC/IAC motor, (no change) I know the ecm and the ISC has got a lot to do with how it runs, I here the ISC motor working but wondering about the ecm on this vehicle, Oh another thing is when I had it running it would idle way high then cut off and even trying to rev it up.....nothing, it idles the same, it acts if its got a vacuum leak Any ideas ?...

Just curious - what is the manifold vacuum reading at idle? Does it stay steady, float, jump etc., T

Just remember to use the most environmently friendly manner to solve this car's issues. Wasting precious gas could raise its carbon profile, cause more global warming, perhaps a penguin will get a sunburn so I suggest something much less invasive to the global impacts of torching it. Parking it on train tracks has lousy ramifications also as seen below.......

If I ever get this car fixed, I calling the mitsubishi headquarters and giving them a piece of my mind,"what little bit that haven't pickled yet",.....anyhow the vacuum is steady, but weird starting, first try cranks then die second try cranks then die third try cranks idles very high then die.....well I'm about bald again...it figures, train track looking good and looking better day by day.

Sounds like it may be a fuel pressure problem ? try cycling the key to the 'run' position 3 or 4 times before you crank the engine over to start. If it starts fine after the key cycling test then check your fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump.
