Sometimes it has the rotten egg smell and sometimes it doesn't. I was told the rotten egg smell was the catalytic converter, but if thats what was wrong then it would make the smell/smoke more often. I bought the car used, and the guy who had it before me abused it. It’s a 1.8 liter non-turbo FWD. It’s really nothing major but it’s on my checklist of things to fix, so I would appreciate any help. Check coolant level carefully, pressure check system and look for contamination with engine oil too. Generally color of smoke list..........
