Sign In I have a well maintained 93 Olds Ciera 3.3 L , 93K. Just tuned and gone thru meticulously. Runs Great with the exception of a new troubling sound. Waiting for my girl yesterday.....idling fine, AC running, then suddenly a clanging, rattle type sound from what seems like top passenger side of engine. Thought it might be PS pump, but that's OK. Checked all fluids....all OK. The noise is only heard when in park, or in drive ....stopped with brake on, or at low speed. While cruising it is noise free, and runs like a jet. No performance problems at all.....except for the noise which presents an undeserving "junky" impression. I am hopefull that this might not be serious. Sign In Get a piece of chalk and make a line on the harmonic balancer from the center bolt, out the the outer edge. Start the car and shut it off and see if you still have a straight line.
