93 K1500 5.7l just stopped while driving...

While driving home came to a stop light and engine died. When to start, it did right away, but then engine started chugging and would no go unless i played with gas pedal. Changed fuel filter and got good steady flow. Have checked plugs,wires,cap,rotor and everything looks good. Oh yea also checked all the fuses. now vehicle will not stay running at idle. It will surge at idle with my foot consistantly on gas pedal. Please help...
