I have a '93 Accord that within the first 5 miles I drive down the highway it dies. At first when it started doing this I thought it might be the fuel pump. But after a couple weeks I have come to other conclusions. It will do this roughly 4-8 times and then it will run fine the rest of the 15-30 miles I have to drive. Most generally when it dies it will not start for 5-20 minutes. It has gotten worst the last couple days. However it will start everytime after it has been sitting for a while or overnight. I have talked to a couple local mechanics who have narrowed it down to either a fuel relay or an ignitor in the distributor. I have not been able to check to see if there is fire when it does this do to being by myself. Does anyone have any ideas or comments on what I could do to diagnose without paying an arm and leg? Thank You!
