4 cyl 92 honda accord, 160k miles. 1 month ago, car running rough. checked under hood found and found 1 plug wire had come off and was dripping oil. Wiped it off and plugged it back onto spark plug & car ran fine (for a while.) Today. again car running rough, and plug wire had popped off. I took off valve cover and 3 of the 4 plugs were swamped with oil, two were completly submerged. Cleaned everything off and bolted valve cover back on and car is running fine again. Did not install new gasket as the old one seemed fine. What is causing back pressure within valve cover to push the plug boots off? Do I just need a new valve cover gasket (suggested by relative)? Or is car entering death throes? Spark plugs also seem tight enough.

Yes, you need to install new gaskets on the valve cober. If your car has a PCV valve, change it also. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
