'92 Suzuki Swift won't start when hot

I have a 1992 Suzuki Swift 1.3L with a carby engine that's done about 83k kilometres. It starts beautifully when it is cold but if the motor is hot, it will not start. The motor does turn over but will not fire up. For example, I would drive somewhere, come back home and leave 20 mins later and it will not start. It will eventually start if I put my foot flat to the floor on the gas pedal while starting the ignition.
My guess is that it is vapour lock or something to do with the fuel.

Jared; This engine has a carburetor? Regardless of carb or injection, by depressing the pedal to the floor is called 'clear flooding'. By doing so, you are allowing much more air into the engine to compensate for too much fuel.
If it is carburated, more than likely, the choke is not opening when the engine warms. A cold engine can 'handle', and needs, that extra fuel. Once it warms, it will flood with too much fuel. Once the engine warms, turn if off, and remove the air cleaner so you can see the top of the carburetor. Is the choke open or closed? If closed, check the electrical connection to the choke. It should have 12V going to it with the engine running. Some of these have a fuse, so check fuses if no power.
Now, if this is fuel injected (some TBI units look like a carb), report back.
