92 Accord starts when it wants to	Sign In

200,000 plus miles start up sometimes when idle drops very low goes dead then starts right back up. sometime will not start for 2 days. Changed distributor cap & rotor, changed coil still doing same thing. smells like it ge

Thanks for the help Greenleaf. Car cranks but will not start somtime. I can drive it and it goes dead but after 2-5 minutes will start back up.Will crank but will not start for 2 days then will start and run for 2 weeks and then go back to not running. Changed distributor cap/rotor, coil, and still doing same thing. Theres not particular time of the day when this will happens it just happens. Now idle is low and has exhaust leak.

You will need to be ready for test when it's acting up and should find lack of fuel or fire the cause. Have a spark tester and you could try starting fluid to prime throttle body, see if starter fluid allows just a quick start then off again as a clue and watch for spark with a tester and go from results when caught in the act,
