When i bought the car it ran but not very well. I just put in a $600 tune up at the shop and they replaced the plugs,wires filters and other things. After that the vehicle ran great for about two weeks then it started spitting really bad and acted like it was not burning anything. When I try to start the car it will start then instantly die. after about twenty starts of casually pumping the gas it will slowly start to stay alive then die. After awhile it will run by itself when its very warm. Once its warm the car runs great till i go inside somewhere for 10 minutes and i have to do the starting process again. Today when i tried starting it i kept on trying and the car started but then nocked once or twice and its never done that before. What, exactly, were the "other things" they did besides the tune parts? Fuel injection cleaning, fuel filter? Ask that they check the CTS readings hot and cold. If you didn't have the injection cleaned or the fuel filter replaced, I'd put that on my 'to do' list. Im pretty forsure they did the fuel filter not the cleaning though. Ill ask them to check the cts readings hot and cold. When I bought the car they guy left the amplifire for subwoofers unconnected and I drove around and the ground and power wire touched and started to melt really bad and took the cars power from the batery to the wire melting. What damage could this have done to the engine? i just remembered but the car ran different but still ran good but after awhile it got worse. But, that should show up like a sore thumb when scanning the PCM. Not sure that I'd worry about that at this point. If the shop comes up with any DTCs, post them, and we'll try and help.
