So my friend owns a Mitsubishi Lancer SE 2009, I took a look at it and am left scratching my head.
Here are some details.
Car definitely has an exhaust leak, I smell it, and the noise that emulates.
May have spark plug problems as I drive it I notice it's acceleration off and a slight misfire.

Now it's summer and there's two days he said it didn't start so far which were in the morning when it was 8 degrees Celsius??? The battery is new the connections are solid, it turns over fine every day except when it's a little cold in the morning. In the winter I tried helping him with it, but a boost or anything would never work only letting it sit in a heated garage for a time , then it would start.
Normally I'd say plug it in but it's summer now and I'm baffled on how it won't start at 8 degrees Celsius

You're a 3rd party here and that makes it about impossible to walk you through any sort of testing and that is the only way you are going to get to the bottom of this.
