88 Ranger injectors lack power Sign In

I have a 1988 Ford Ranger with a 2.9L V6 fuel-injected engine. It has been sitting for a few years and when I tried to start it a few months ago, the engine turned over but would not start. I've tried replacing the in-tank pump, the high-pressure fuel pump, the injector relay, the injectors themselves, and the mass air flow sensor. I believe that the injectors are not getting enough power because of the way the engine acts when cranking: the engine makes three or four revolutions then fires, revolves a few times, fires, and so on. It also fires perfectly when starting fluid is sprayed into the upper intake manifold and if the engine is allowed to sit, it will fire at first and then revert to its previous behaviour. I think that what is happening is the the injectors are not letting enough fuel in and so the fuel will not atomize and only fires when it has collected. What could be causing the injectors to act this way, or am I completely wrong?

Wow...you've put a couple parts on this already....Unsure

If I read this right....you can get it to run on starting fluid?

If that is the case the next couple of steps would be to take a fuel pressure reading & the check injector pulse with a noid light..........

I've checked the pressure through the Schrader valve on the fuel rail and it's at 40 psi, which according to my Hayne's manual is right. It will run on starter fluid and I'll see if I can get a noid light.

Never mind, I just got it running. It turns out the problem was a faulty MAP sensor.
