Hi everyone Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated. only 133,322 miles on it Just finished putting this car back together last night. I was going to drive to the gas station and be done with this,,,but The car started and ran beautiful. I shut it off, and when I restarted it it stumbled like it was missing. when I put it in reverse the rpms would drop and stall. If I play with the gas pedal it will smooth out around 750 rpm, and seem to run normal. We have 3 cars and mine is the only one running. I am getting to the point of just setting it on fire. Below is a list of what I have done: carb rebuilt, cap rotor and wires. cam seal thermostat The keyway broke on the cam sprocket and turned just enough to bend all the exhaust valves. New valves Had a machine shop check for cracks Head Gasket set.... water pump and timing belt new alt and belt Replace the high pressure PS line rear wheel cyl 4 tires

Doug; These carbureted Hondas' were a nightmere for vacuum lines as you have found out....Recheck all of the vacuum hoses, of course. The carbs were notorious for flooding. Check the float level. There is a sight glass on the side of the float bowl. With the engine idling, try closing the choke with your finger and see if the idle improves...if it does, it is running too lean (air/fuel adjustment, vacuum leak). If it gets worse, then too rich (air/fuel adj., float level, ect.) If all of that is good, then I'd recheck cam timing...could be off just a tooth,,or two.. Loren SW Washington
