85' Chevy Blazer: New Carburetor & Manifold- now won't start	Sign In

Year: 1985
Make: Chevy-Silverado
Model: Blaizer
Engine Size: 350
Milage: 140,000

The truck was working but had stalling issues when it would stop... It would run on the freeways great but every red light would stall. We replaced the carburetor and the manifold now nothing will start. Upon trying to diagnose according tot he manual, it was noticed that the truck might not be wired accurately. We checked the fuses, the battery, and double checked all of the connections. Since it's not starting at all, we're thinking that something must have come loose, or maybe two wires are touching someplace that might be grounding everything out. We're totally unsure- hopefully, some of you can provide some good feedback and some helpful ideas of what to check.

Hi,

Did you check for spark?

With the ignition off remove the air cleaner and open the choke with your fingers. Look down inside the primary barrels and open the throttle. You should see a spray of fuel from the accelerator pump shooters.

are we talking no crank over or a cranks over will not run. getting the dist in and wired and timed right is one of the most common DIY mistakes.
