NICE CAR!!!!!!!!!! Don't worry. we have plenty of old farts that will be all over this one............... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Old fart # 1 . I'll go first. The exhaust manifold was killer on starters for this car. Needs a heat shield between starter and exhaust. Probably needs a new gear reduction starter by now. Dual point?

Suggestion #2 if the starter checks out ok. When it's cranking slow pull the coil wire out of the dist cap, ground it and crank the engine, if it cranks at normal speed you have a timing problem..... AND noboby better call me an old phart!!!!.....................Damn it!!!!!

I'm curious about something. Is this motor stock? Have the heads been shaved or the pistons changed? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
