I'm getting ready to do this in my 86 k10 pickup. I may buy a crate or find a core and rebuild it. Any suggestions? Any problems or roadblocks that one has encountered when doing this?

thanks.

There should be no surprises in the installation. If you have a computer controlled fuel system, you may want to upgrade to the 350 system to allow the correct amount of fuel to make the engine perform properly.
