2012 Hyundai Sonata Losing Power while driving. 2012 Hyundai Sonata SE (150k miles) I have a 2012 Hyundai Sonata and for about a month now while driving for example on the freeway the car will lose power for about 1-2 seconds (engine, and lights in side the vehicle flicker) and then the engine and lights start to run normal again. It has happened 3-4 times. Also today when I was driving in the parking lot today and turned on my headlights there was a loss of power (engine) for a few seconds before going back to normal. I googled some things and saw that its probably the alternator or battery. I went to two different O'reilly auto parts locations and they tested the battery and alternator and said it was fine. Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem before or if my best bet is to take it into a dealership to have a diagnosis run. Thanks!

I would look for a connection problem somewhere, possibly at the ignition switch or the fuse box. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
