2007 silverado 4x4

My 2007 silverado has started going dead from time to time when go to make a turn or when I take off from a dead stop. Also while running the engine will act as if it isnt getting fuel then suddenly get a surge of fuel and excelerate. What could bw the problem?

It could be any multitude of things but I would start by rigging a fuel pressure gauge so it can be monitored while driving so you can see what the pressure does when the failure occur.
