I have a 2007 Civic that's giving me problems and I'm not sure what the problem is. The car ran great until the check engine light came on (flashing) with a p0304 misfire code and the car went into limp mode. I pulled off the road and shut it down, restarted the car and it ran fine. I had no problem for a month and then it happened again, flashing CEL, and it went into limp mode. I was able to get the car home and I replaced spark plugs, coils, injectors, air filter, and replaced the fuel pump assembly. I checked the car after adding every part and it continued to misfire and produce no power. I can push the accelerator to the floor and the RPMs don't budge. I don't know what to look for or what the problem is. Again, car has P0304 (cyl 4 misfire) and no power at the accelerator. Car starts and runs very rough. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

OK, there is no such thing as "limp mode" from a misfire code.

A misfire is simply a misfire and you have to troubleshoot the cause whether it be spark, fuel or compression.

The only default program that could be labeled "limp mode" for your car would be either a transmission issue or an electronic throttle issue.

There could be oth3r codes stored there that your equipment is not capable of reading.
