2006 pt cruiser will not turn off

I have a 2006 pt cruiser touring that will not turn off when put in park, runs fine , starts fine but will not turn off, replace ign switch but problem persists...need help.

When you typed "will not turn off", do you mean the engine doesn't shut off or do the accessories stay on with the key off?

the key is off all the guages are off but the car continues to run.
