2005 civic wont start

I have a 05 Honda civic Engine is 2.0 a 4 cyl and it has 76,000 miles on it. The car has been sitting for 2 months and will not start. When I turn the ignition I get clicking sounds. All the lights come on in the dash board and the headlights seem to be working. I'm figuring I need to change the battery but wondering if theirs more I should do before trying again

You should be testing things not replacing things. Charge and test the battery first. If tat tests good, then check all the terminal connections. If all checks good, you may have a bad starter.
