If you look at the very first post under "Engine Troubleshooting" you'll see the forum rules. Here is part of the forum rules. You should really go to that thread and read the whole thing. It's not very long.
"Here are some other guidelines to help everyone out............
This is a starting point for all questions that are posted. We have a hard time trying to get information to help you fix your vehicle. We NEED all the information you can give to us to help you. Remember, we do not have the vehicle in front of us and have our diagnostic tools hooked up. So please supply the following information:
Year of vehicle
Make of vehicle (Ford/ Chevrolet)
Model of vehicle ( Taurus/ Cavalier) (DX, LX, SE, R/T, ect.)
Engine size (2.0/ 5.7)
Mileage/Kilometers
Please also state in the subject line - " Vehicle Year , make and problem" so it will help us and others identify the problem.
Then describe what the vehicle is or is not doing. Do not say "CAR WILL NOT START, REPLACED FUSE, STILL WON'T START. WHAT IS WRONG?" We need to know what lead up to the car not starting. -- Lights started dimming and then car died. -- Just running down the road and the vehicle stopped running. --Made some noises and it died."
Like it says, nobody here has the vehicle in front of them so we need every bit of info you can give so you can get some help. How did you notice water in the oil? Can you tell from sludge under the oil cap? Did you change the oil and notice in the oil pan? Is your car having any kind of mechanical symptoms? You know, just explain anything and everything you can. Pictures or videos always help too. You can upload a video to youtube and post the link and/or use an image hosting site and post the image code for pictures.
If this was a place where you could drop your vehicle off for someone to physically look at you could get away with just saying it has water in the oil. The mechanic could then investigate on his own. The more you help us the more we can help you.
