Sign In Hey all. My 2004 Ford Taurus (about 60k miles) has been giving me some problems recently. When I try to start it, the engine comes on and the batteries are fine for a few seconds, then the engine dies and the computer reads "LOW OIL PRESSURE." I had recently had my starter replaced and my oil was last changed in late May. I haven't noticed any leaking oil. What could be the problem? IDK - if possible get codes read to direct why engine stalls. If really low oil pressure it would say so when running and stop running it if true. Sign In like tom said thats normal when engine isn't running it's not going to create any oil pressure.
