Apologies for the non-technical description but I know little about cars...however I work with computers so have tried to debug my car problem a little. Occasionally I encounter this problem for a week or so then it goes away. When I am driving along and accelerating the car seems to lose power for a second or two, the car is still running fine, but pressing on the accelerator has no affect. After a second or two the power returns and the accelerator works as normal. I've found that if I pull over and restart the engine the problem goes away for the next journey or two anyway. I'm going to get a friend who is a mechanic to change the spark plugs as I thought this may seem like the first place to start. Is that a good conclusion or does my problem sound like something very different to the more experienced among you? Thanks, Chris 2004 Daewoo Tacuma 1.6 110k

This car not sold where most of us are - US and Canada. Not the totally problem but no info for it specifically. Seems like lack of proper fuel delivery at a glance and need to check for lower fuel pressure but while it happens if not other warnings or code reading help. If it behaves when checked even by a pro with nothing apparent or codes to direct to the issue it will be guessing only. No problem putting in new plugs but doubt that will fix this, T
