2003
Peugeot
307 rapier
1.6l petrol

Problems:-
In the cold weather I found the car difficult to get started and sometimes cut out until the engine has warmed up properly.
When stationary and the engine idleing I seem to feel as if the car is struggling to stay running.
Sometimes when changing gear or pulling away I notice a severe lack of power then all of sudden its buissness as usual.
On some occastion I get a strong smell of petrol inside the car.

What I have tried already:-
Full service with oil and fuel line flush
Changed the coil pack from car that is running fine
Rekoved n cleaned throttle body(which was filthy)

What else has been suggested to me:-
Egr valve
Timing out slightly

If anyone can steer me in the right direction then I would much appreciate it. I don't putting time n money into my car if I know I am in the right direction.

Cleaning throttle body was not a waste but tossing parts at random is unless suspect and inexpensive IMO. Never even seen one of these car but doesn't really matter.

#1. Get the codes! There should be something there to direct you in the right direction.

A maybe: CTS = coolant temp sensor which should be totally separate from any sensor to run fans or to a gauge tells the car's computer how much fuel to deliver at what temp. If it either thinks car is warmed up already all the time or erratic could be telling the computer incorrect info and delivering wrong amount of fuel and other settings can be off too.

They can be checked with an OHM meter and should read all different stone cold vs warmed up.

Any poor engine performance is very hard on catalytic converter and should be tended so as soon as possible or you'll add that to the list and won't like the price,

T
