I have a 2003 Monte Carlo with 90,000 kilometres. I was on the highway and the connector rod let go blowing the engine block and the starter (no power, steering or brakes). Needless to say the engine is toast. A week prior I had it at the same dealership fixing the rear main seal. They claim it is not related. Anybody have any ideas.

90km is pretty early for a rear main seal in a cared for car. What was wrong to begin with and what history led up to that? Depending on what was done to fix that it is TOTALLY RELATED!! Engine is toast now but what did they do? T
