More info inside. Sign In 2003 Cadillac CTS 3.2L 90,000 Miles. Standard Transmission. I was coming home from work today and i was in second gear. All of the sudden my check engine light starts flashing and the engine starts vibrating pretty bad whenever i give it gas in any gear. After about 2 minutes the flashing stops but the motor still vibrates pretty bad when i give it gas. I parked it immediately. Its about 20 degrees out and dark so i cant really look under the hood but the motor smells and little weird. (i popped the hood and took a sniff not sure if it usually smells different). Has this happened to anyone? I'm fearing the worst right now :/ Thanks in advance guys! Sign In You're going to what to start off with pulling the codes and see what is being affected. Also you are going to want to get under the hood after it's cooled down and check all the fluids and make sure there isn't any leaks.... It has a code reader built into the system all i have to do is push two buttons on my DIC and it will show me all the codes currently in the system. I dont know if they will show up when someone runs a scan with a OBD-II Code Reader because the check engine light is no longer on but they may come up who knows. Im getting the car towed to a local shop tomorrow but if anyone else has had a similar problem with a car id appreciate the insight. Sign In Well with misfire it's good to start with the basic maintenance 1st. A lot of times that will solve some problems..... When you took it to the shop, did you have it diagnosed or just get the codes pulled?
