2002 Toyota Camry Oil Leak

I noticed a few months ago that my Camry has been dripping oil in my garage. The picture linked above shows my engine. I don't know much about cars, but is this a valve cover gasket issue? (I only know that this is a thing because we just did this to our 2010 Escape, which had oil all around the spark plugs.)
Also, could this be related to a puff of smoke that the car emits when I first start it (especially if I haven't driven it in a day or more)?
I don't drive the car too much, but it runs fine. I haven't added any oil to it, and its still within the two dots on the dipstick.

Yes, that is either a leaking valve cover gasket or possibly just spilled oil when filling the engine. That's very common on Toyotas because the filler will not take the oil quickly and often overflows.
The oil spill runs under the decorative plastic cover that covers the valve cover. That cover has to be removed to clean the spill. If you take the cover off you can see if the top of the valve cover is wet because the gasket would only leak from the lower edge.
I would remove the outer cover and get a couple cans of Brakleen and clean up all the residual oil and then keep and eye on it to see where any oil if any originates.
