my daughters 2002 saturn sl-1 keeps missing even after giving a complete tune-up, plugs, wires, coil packs. will run fine for a couple weeks then start missing again, Mech says it's throwing missing on cyl 4 code, any suggestions out there? Whats causing this? Car has about 115K on it and it's maintenance has been kept up with faithfully.I have changed the plug wires out twice now, it will be ok for a couple weeks, then start missing again. Is something burning a plug wire up?Only pre-cursor to this episode is her car started idling slightly higher while in park 6 months ago, but only when gas tank got below half full, must be vacuum leak on the tank somewhere, but how do i find that? can the two even be related?

You're problem could be fuel and not spark. You could have a dirty or fouled injector. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
