2002 Nissan Altima, 200,000 miles loses power

I have a 2002 Nissan Altima with 200,000. The problem is that the acceleration stops at 2 rpms. It was stopping at 2.9 but as of the other day it is down to 2. The check engine light is not on, the car just looses power. Any ideas about what might be causing it?
