2002 Focus hesitation on acceleration

2002 Ford Focus, 2.0L DOHC Z-Tech, 150,000M. Changed bad fuel pump and fuel filter about 4 months ago. Ran great until recently. Runs great in the garage, but on the road engine sputters during acceleration like starving for fuel. Rough at idle. No engine codes.

When were ignition components changed last and which ones?

If you have 150K on those plug wires, they need to be changed ASAP!!

They only have 5-10K miles on them

Then you probably have a bad coil but you need to confirm it's spark your losing and which cylinder before changing anything.

I pulled the coil off a similar 2001 engine that I have for a test and it took care of the problem. Thanks for the help.

I installed a new coil and the engine runs good during acceleration and normal operating speeds, but still runs very rough below 1000 RPM. Any suggestions?
