2001 zr2 blazer wont"t start

My 2001 zr2 blazer won"t crank. The engine turns over and when I let off the ignition it seems to try to fire. It will not do anything while I am turning it over steady. Any suggestions where to start.

Hey after several hours of searching for the problem going from fuel pressure to the firing I finally figured it out. It was the rotary button and distributer cap. I thank everyone for letting me post on this site.
