Hi, My Zafira sometimes just cuts out the engine while running. It gives fault code P0335 (crankshaft sensor). I got that replaced twice and still does exactly the same thing. I was told to replace the ECU so I sent the ECU to get checked but they said it was fine, I think they reset it. I plugged it back in but the engine doesn't start. I cleaned the throttle body (that was what they suggested I do) but still no luck :-( When I turn the ignition on this is what happens: http://youtu.be/qJx2AC6Xw6Q Any ideas so I can start it and take it to the garage for a service?! :) I have absolutely no clues about cars! :-( THANKS!!!! The car is a 2001 Opel Zafira Elegance 1.6 Petrol Manual with ~147000 miles

We don't have any specific info on that vehicle here in the US but my guess is when they reset the computer, they also reset the programming ffor the security system and now that needs to be reprogrammed. You had an intermittent problem to start with so having anything tested would be a complete waste of time and resetting your ECU was definitely the wrong thing to do. The problem is only going to be found by a very competent tech that is able to use a lab scope to catch a glitch when the problem occurs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
