2001 Toyota Celica GTS Engine Blips/Stalls/Misfire

Now, I got another problem. The car takes at least 7-8 seconds to turn over now. Sounds very painful. I get codes saying multiple misfires and cylinder 1 misfire within a few seconds of the engine turning over.

I replaced the fuel pump and filters for it, and the injectors. Could this cause turn over issues?

Plus, I failed inspection because the O2 and emission sensors were "Not Ready" according to their scanner, so they told me to touch nothing and drive more and come back and they will check again as a courtesy.

Re: 2001 Toyota Celica GTS Engine Takes forever to Turn Over/Start Sign In

The inspection mechanic I went to said I was having fuel pressure issues.

First I checked that the injectors were all spraying. I removed them from the engine a bit and zipped tied them. I placed a bad under the injectors to see if they were spraying. I turned the ignition for maybe 10 seconds and then checked if there was fuel on the bag for each injector. I saw fuel so that wasn't the problem.

I fixed this problem by buying a new o-ring.

There is an o-ring, about 1/2 inch diameter that seals the fuel filter with the upper plastic portion of the fuel assembly. I opened up the assembly and found this o-ring to be ripped partially. I thought this was the source so I ordered the o-ring from the dealer. Trust me, no one has this o-ring other than toyota. I went to 3 shops to check.

I ordered the 90301-09021 o-ring. I installed it, and then made sure to insert the o-ring in the tube it seals very carefully because it probably ripped last time when I was replacing the fuel pump to try to solve another issue... I put some engine oil on it to make it easier to slide in.
