2001 Mazda B4000 high idle at start up

My truck is 4.0 liter with 267Km on it.When I start it first time,ii runs normally.When it start it over 2 hours after shut off,the idle shoots up to 2500 rpm and comes down slowly until the engine is hot.4-5 minutes.Before this happened,I previously had to remove the battery to to get at the headlight.I put the battery in and started it 2hrs later and thats when I noticed the really high idle

If you disconnect the battery on those, it resets the keep alive memory in the computer. The computer stores data it learned for controlling the idle speed. Since this has been reset, the computer has to relearn the idle air algorithms and you may notice some weird things going on. Give it some time and see if your symptom goes away. If it does, the computer was just relearning.
