Search Auto Parts Search 2001 Integra Sign up here!   Email This Post Auto Repair Home>> Automotive Repair>> Engine Troubleshooting larry1845 User May 17, 2010, 2:32 AM Post #1 of 4 (1568 views) 2001 Integra Sign In My son has a 2001 Integra.It ran fine but now has a miss right at 4500rpm range.We installed a new fuel filter,new plugs and air filter.Timing is okay along with the valve timing.It's right on the mark.Compression is about 145 on all cylinders.No check engine light so I don'tknow where to go from here? If you're doing this in park or neutral I'd say he's hitting the rev limiter..... Even driving around that's a lot of Rs, not good on the engine.............. larry1845 User May 18, 2010, 11:50 AM Post #3 of 4 (1550 views) Re: 2001 Integra Sign In Dont' know if this would make a difference,but this car is set up with a turbo and bigger injectors.He had it tuned a little while ago at the turbo shop.But whenever he goes through the gears it will bog down on him at a higher rpm.I don't knowe what the rpm is when that happens but sitting in the garage it does it at about 4500.I didn't know there was a rev limiter on this and don't know if he does either.Maybe he got it set at the dyno.We ordered new high performance wires and a new cap and rotor.The plugs are only a month old and they are really hot plugs that are gapped at 44.Hope this will help.Maybe once we get the wires and cap it will straighten up.I'll let him know about the rev limiter though.I appreciate your advice.
