Yeah I am so relieved like I said I dont know much about cars but everything seemed to be fine which lead for confusion. My husband was always freaking out about the light being on and I didnt see how it was a big deal if there was still oil in there I just thought it could be a fuse or sensor that was making that reading come up recently the check engine light came on also which was because of that part. It didnt make sense he was always so convinced it was leaking but I never saw a puddle so I didnt understand how it was leaking. But last night there was a whole trail of oil so weird going from no leak to gushing. The whole time I had a feeling it would be something loose or a part broken maybe this was done during the oil change he got since thats when the problem started it seemed like. The mechanic said the reason the car engine shut off was to protect the engine it does it itself I guess. I cant believe all this time the lights the freaking out and now it is running like a champ. Sorry for the rambling but that is just awesome! We had the car named something crappy I think its worthy of an upgraded name ;)

Just a quick note on the lights. You really do want to know what's going on if one comes on. It's a warning and really could mean the difference between a repairable problem as opposed to looking for a new car...

While not 100% a good rule of thumb is, if it's red, you need to know the cause right now.
If it's orange, you need to know as soon as possible..

Oil, engine temp, those could all mean an new engine, even door ajar & seat belt, those could be injury, those are red, find out now.
Gas, washer fluid, even the check engines lights are orange.....get a handle on it very soon....

Some early check engine lights were red but now all are orange due to the fact that most faults won't ruin an engine within miles or minutes, but if the fault could cause possible engine or cat damage, it will flash as an elevated warning.

So it's up to you if you wanna tell him he was right......this time........but he was..........

and please have the lower intake gaskets replaced, so you don't run into the broken camshaft syndrome.

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
