You will probly have to drop the tank, flush it, new gasoline installed, blow out the fuel lines and have a good battery ready to go. nickwarner Veteran / Moderator Feb 6, 2010, 6:11 PM Post #3 of 3 (1289 views) Re: 2000 mitsubishi mirage ran out of fuel Sign In last time I saw one of these problems I had to do as suggested, drain all the fuel. Put that battery on a charger, there's no sense in wrecking it or your alternator. Get all the diesel out and maybe replace the plugs. Get the fresh gas in it and take it out on some backroads to give it a good run. A fuel filter helps too.
